Your Commute On The Delhi Metro Is Going to Get more Expensive From October, 2017

Attention ! Dilli wallah’s or rather metro wallah’s, we have got some really really important news for you all. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation  our metro is going to execute the second phase of the planned fare hikes for US!

The first phase of the hike was implemented in May this year, where the maximum fare was raised to Rs 50 and the minimum to Rs 10, due to which the metro saw a drop-in number of passengers using the service, says DMRC. Well, tell that to people travelling through Rajeev Chowk metro station, because we bet they never felt the difference in the queues!

Please note the revised fare will be implanted from 3rd of October, as 1st October is a Sunday and 2nd is a national holiday, so the fares will be discounted. In case you don’t know, Metro offers discounted fares on national holidays and Sundays. The minimum fare will remain same (Rs 10), but the maximum fare will be increased to Rs 60. So, all the regular commuters, time to revise your monthly budget!
